I am from the West Country and love it here. I raised a family in America for ten years. This gave me an appreciation of how unique our county is, in particular the ward of Marldon, where I now live.
My career and hobbies have centred around supporting and empowering individuals and communities. I was a teacher at schools in disadvantaged areas, and now practice as a psychotherapist. I volunteer with several local charities and am a parish councillor for Berry Pomeroy.
My mission is to find ways to improve our community. This can only happen if locals have a strong voice in decision-making, whether it is housing, protecting our beautiful landscape, supporting rural businesses, or some other issue.
